Brittany + Jay's Minnesota Backyard Wedding
We were in awe from the minute we arrived at Brittany and Jay's house for their wedding day. When we pulled into the driveway of their home in the south metro, there was a huge white tent set up that would shade their 100+ dinner guests from the 90+ degree September sun.
Wedding Details Fit For Foodies
We arrived early enough to find Hadley Road still putting together the breathtaking floral centerpieces on each table under the great white tent. As we slowly walked through the tent, it was immediately obvious how much time and meticulous planning had gone into this day. The groom and his father are woodworkers and had not only cut the wooden chargers under each floral arrangement on each table, but they had built custom wood coolers for the beverages, cupcake stands with multiple levels, a barn wood door that served as a photobooth and the grand finale: a renovated shed with a stage built for the band that would play later that night.
Around the perimeter of the tent were tables and a snack surprise on every one: multiple flavors of gourmet cupcakes, candy and caramels and a s'mores station. So many delicious palette pleasers ready to entertain their guests post-ceremony and before dinner arrived.
Dance Like Nobody's Watching
After Brittany and Jay said "I do" under a gorgeous wooden trellis hand-crafted by the groom himself, we headed down the driveway to take advantage of the sunset. The band set up and started playing right when we were ready to take Brittany and Jay's first pictures as husband and wife. There's something uniquely special about that magical window immediately following a ceremony. To top off the already amazing day, these two newlyweds danced in the golden sunset like something out of a fairytale.
We wanted to send a thank-you from the bottom of our hearts for letting us experience your wedding day with you. We are still swooning over the details and the ambiance of your day and hope it lives on in your hearts - and through your wedding day images - forever.
