Summer Wedding at The Grand Superior Lodge | Meghan + Trevor

We first met Meghan and Trevor at a gorgeous oceanside resort just outside of Cancun, Mexico two years ago. Jon and I were there to photograph their best friends' wedding in a tropical paradise. Little did we know back then that we would be photographing their wedding at The Grand Superior Lodge a year and a half later.

Over the course of the next 6 days, we not only had the opportunity to get to know our bride  and groom better than we ever could have imagined, but we got to know all their closest friends and family - including Meghan and Trevor.

Not long after we returned from Mexico, Trevor proposed to Meghan. I saw the news on Facebook and it was one of those moments that I wish I could have liked their post a thousand times. If you are reading this and know Megan and Trevor, you know they are one of those couples that is just meant to be. They compliment each other in the best ways, make one another a better version of themselves. They are two of the kindest, funniest, most laid-back people that we know and we are proud to be able to call them our friends.

We knew it was going to be a great wedding day when we showed up the day of the wedding to a round of hugs before we even got our cameras out of their bags.

Meghan and Trevor planned their wedding on Minnesota's North Shore of Lake Superior at the Grand Superior Lodge (a Minnesota wedding photographer's DREAM backdrop, might I add). These two love the outdoors and their choice of venue made perfect sense. From the venue to the floral design by Hadley Road to the double-dad speeches after dinner, their day was absolutely amazing. What struck us most about their day was not only the sincerity of their love for each other, but the overwhelming love, warmth and sincerity of Meghan and Trevor's entire tribe of family and friends that was there to honor them that day.

We left their dance that night exactly how we arrived - with a round of hugs and smiles on our faces.

Meghan and Trevor, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your family for the day. We can't wait to see your love grow.
